LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Community College Foundation announced a major gift on Wednesday.
During a press event held at LCC at 10 a.m.. the Lansing Community College Foundation announced that they have received a $1.5 million gift from the late Christian Herrmann Jr. to establish the Christian and Agnes Bauch Herrmann Endowed Scholarship, in honor of his parents.
Dr. Herrmann passed away in October 2017.
This gift will contribute to a brighter future through education for many students by providing scholarships to students attending LCC.
"This gift will have a profound and lasting effect for generations of students here at Lansing Community College," said LCC Foundation executive director, Dan McKean. He went on to say, "This selfless gift continues to honor the Herrmann family, and is representative of how much this college and this city meant to Dr. Herrmann."
