Attorneys with three law firms representing women suing Dr. Larry Nassar are asking a federal court to block a gag order issued by Ingham County Circuit Court Judge Rosemarie Aquilina.
Judge Aquilina is overseeing two of Nassar's criminal cases.
She issued the order on March 29 and applied it to any current or potential witnesses and their lawyers. The lawyers for the plaintiffs in Nassar's civil lawsuits claim the order infringes on their rights.
They also claim they should have been given the chance to argue against the order in court before it was issued.
