Lawyers claim rights violation in Nikki Joly case

JACKSON, Mich. — Attorneys for a LGBTQ rights activist accused of burning down his Jackson home, are accusing police of violating attorney client privilege.

Abood Law Firm confirmed to FOX 47 News, it has requested a motion hearing in the case against Nikki Joly. Lawyers say while investigators were looking through Joly's computer they found an email between Joly and his attorneys.

53-year-old Joly is accused of intentionally starting a fire that destroyed his home, killing his two German Shepherds and three cats.
