A popular lip balm is hit with a class action lawsuit, claiming EOS can cause blisters and rashes on your lips.

The lawsuit, filed on January 12, says the lip balm is anything but smooth.

A woman named Rachel Cronin claims the summer fruit flavor caused a rash and blisters on her mouth.

She is part of a class action lawsuit.

Cronin says within hours of applying it, her lips feel like sandpaper, she says by the next day she had a rash and had to see a doctor.

The lawsuit claims the makers of EOS lip balm deceived the public and seeks damages.

EOS insists its products are safe and approved for use by the federal government.

It says the lawsuit is without merit.
