OWOSSO, Mich. — With school districts across Michigan already maxed out on snow days, one state lawmaker is working on a solution that would make school administrators happy and students ecstatic about not having to extend the school year.

State Rep. Ben Frederick, of Owosso, is proposing legislation that would forgive school districts that take snow days during a declared state of emergency, meaning those days would not count toward the six days that are currently allowed or the three additional days for "unusual, or extenuating circumstances."

FOX 47 News will let you know if his plan goes anywhere at the state capitol.
