Many teachers, parents, and citizens are concerned about the Common Core State Standards and the assessments that come along with them.

Common Core is a set of educational standards in mathematics and English used to teach kindergarten through 12th grade.

State representative Gary Glenn, R-Midland introduced a bill to repeal the Common Core educational standards in Michigan.

“Michigan students deserve the best standards, proven by actual test results,” Glenn said.
