Sunday was the final day for Lansing's Common Ground Music Festival, with some big names hitting the stage.

The gates opened at 3 p.m. that afternoon as concertgoers flooded Adado Riverfront Park. People in attendance say that the festival definitely saved the best for last.

"Gucci!" Roscoe George said.

It seems like everyone that came to the final day of Common Ground was extra excited to see rapper Gucci Mane, but he is just once of the many big names to come to Lansing over the weekend.

"Its a chance to see national headliners as well as up and coming acts. We've has some great up and comers play over the last few years and this year as well.," Marketing Director Jenna Meyer said.

Meyer says people come from all over to Mid-Michigan to expereince the festival.

"We've got about 50 percent that come outside Ingham County and almost 10 percent come outside of state. So its really exciting to have people come down to Lansing and our community and there's an economic impact that comes along with it," she said.

Madison Brown agreed.

"It's awesome, we were actually talking to people from Nebraska out in the line and we were like you came all the way to Lansing to see this. This is just normal for us and its the only thing that we really have that is exciting to do so its cool that other people think its exciting too," Brown said.

Kayleigh Sklapasky says she has been coming for eight years, and every year is better than the last.

"Coming here every year is different. They add more stuff, seeing all the people backstage and all the time they put in makes it even more enjoyable," she said.
