LANSING, Mich. ( — Drivers are reacting to a large pothole on a heavily traveled Mid-Michigan road.

FOX 47's Cryss Walker spoke with drivers on Oakland Avenue in Lansing where the problem is getting bigger.

It's a corridor that connects commuters to the west-side of the city but the rough road is taking some drivers by surprise.

Clyde James drives on Oakland Avenue everyday but during his ride over the weekend he heard a loud thump and saw something pop-off a wheel on his van.

“I could see the hubcap going up towards the curb”, James told Cryss Walker.

James created a roadside lost and found as a way to help drivers track down their missing caps after hitting the concrete crater.

“I'm gonna line them up, I'm gonna come down here and just line them up”, said James.

FOX 47 reported the pothole with the Michigan Department of Transportation and they're expected to get a crew out as soon as possible.
