The grand opening for Lansing's Golden Corral is today at 9:30 a.m.
The new restaurant is located in Delta Township on Elmwood Road at the former site of Fire Mountain. Fire Mountain closed last March. Over the past few months, the building was renovated and workers hired for the new Golden Corral.
Golden Corral is a popular family 'all-you-can-eat' buffet-style restaurant with many locations across the south. It offers 'endless' breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Popular menu items include made-to-order omelets, banana pudding, and fried chicken. Because it is the first location in Lansing, expect long lines and big crowds today. The hours today are 9:30 to 9 p.m.
There are other Golden Corral restaurants in Michigan including Flint, and Canton but this is the first for the Lansing region.
