Some changes will be made to the Capital Regional International Airport thanks to money coming from Washington.
Monday Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters announced that the airport will receive $3.2 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration.
The money is part of the federal government's Runway Incursion Mitigation Program.
The plan is to use the money to make changes to the taxiway that will allow larger aircraft to maneuver on the ground more easily and safely.
