LANSING, Mich. — About six months ago, a medical billing company was hacked and patients information was compromised.
One Lansing woman says she's still dealing with the aftermath.
Joanne Fink says she's getting calls from companies referencing her specific medical conditions.
She believes it's related to the data breach at Wolverine Solutions Group.
Fink was one of hundreds of thousands of people who got a letter from Wolverine Solutions Group saying their information may have been compromised.
"They asked me if I wanted to try a brace, and I was like, 'no, why would I want to try a brace?' and they said, "well, it would probably help your knee,'" said Fink.
She reached out to All Clear ID, the company Wolverine Solutions Group hired to offer patients free identity protection.
"She says, 'you can write down the number and go to the police station and file a report,'" said Fink.
"[Police] said that would be a waste of their time and mine because I would be coming down there a lot."
A representative from All Clear ID said their team is reviewing her situation and the investigations supervisor spoke with her Wednesday afternoon.
