Lansing Township approves rezoning of Waverly Golf Course

Posted

The Waverly golf course, which closed 11 years ago, is on par for redevelopment.

The Lansing Township board has approved the rezoning of the 121 acre site.

The City of Lansing owns the property -- which sits in the township.

Northern Capitol Investments has agreed to buy it from the city of Lansing for about 2.2 million dollars.

It plans to build homes, townhomes, duplexes and apartments. There are also plans for senior housing.

The first phase of redevelopment will get underway this year -- with commercial and retail space along Saginaw Highway.
