Happening Thursday - prepare to see the Old Newsboys out and about in greater Lansing.
Hundreds of volunteers will fan out across the area to sell a fake newspaper called the "Lansing Spoof Journal."
All proceeds from the sales of the newspaper go toward the purchase of shoes and boots for thousands of children in the area.
"Last year, we helped buy shoes and boots for more than 7,000 children across Greater Lansing. Our goal this year is to raise $170,000. The need is as great as ever."
