The man who was shot while answering the door at a home on Dorchester Circle in Lansing Sunday night is expected to live.

Lansing police tell FOX 47 News the 24-year-old was shot in the torso area around 11:30 p.m.

The shots were fired from the hallway into the apartment after someone knocked on the door.

Investigators say the apartment near the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Reo Road was specifically targeted.

They can't rule out the possibility of this being a drug-related shooting.
