When you spill salt, some say to throw a pinch over your shoulder for good luck.
Wednesday in Lansing, a city salt truck spilt their load of salt - it was all over the shoulder - of the road that is.
It happened at Woodbine and MLK Jr. around noon.
The Capitol Area salt truck did not tip over, but hit an overpass and the salt carrying container, fell off the truck.
The salt fell into a concentrated area near the side of the road.
A tow truck had to remove the container.
And the salt? It will remain on the shoulder for now.
