It's time for "Love the City" in Lansing.

For the third year in a row, City Life Lansing will be handing out goodie bags in Lansing from September 17 - 23.

They call if "Love the City" and the group sends out people three times a day, armed with goodie bags, to hit up local restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations, even Lansing area teachers.

They will also go to work cleaning up parks, picking up trash, and taking over intersections handing out bags to cars.

You may see them at some area restaurants like Biggby's, McDonald's, Strange Matter and Blue Owl to pay it forward.

They even plan to go door to door on Friday, September 21 handing out pizzas and free groceries.

"We will be investing $25,000 into the Lansing area that week," said Jenny Christensen from City Life.

The weekend will be full of events from a block party on Saturday at Summer Place Town Homes at 11 a.m. to a party on Sunday. These events will be free and include food, haircuts, inflatables, and more.

"We believe in Lansing and want people to feel loved in a real way."
