Some road work in Ingham County will be taking place starting Wednesday.
Lansing Road between Old Lansing Road and I-496 will be closed in both directions starting Wednesday.
The westbound I-496 off ramp to Lansing Road will also be closed.
MDOT will making drainage improvements.
During the closure, a detour will be posted that directs drivers to use Waverly Road, St. Joseph Street and W. Main Street.
The work is expected to be done by mid-October.
