LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Police Department is launching a new mobile app on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
In it, Lansing residents can submit a tip and get a response back in real-time.
Lansing police can also send you notifications when something is happening in your area.
The Lansing Police Department hopes the app will get officers the opportunity to be more transparent and engage with the community.
The app is free to download.
Lansing Mayor Andy Schor, LPD Chief Daryl Green, and Jamieson Johnson of MobilePD, Inc. will be holding an event to officially launch the app at LPD Headquarters, 120 W. Michigan Avenue on the 2nd-floor conference room at 9 a.m.
