Lansing Police ID 17-year-old killed in shooting

LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

The shooting occurred Saturday evening at the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Allegan Road.

Police arrived on the scene to find Jesus Diego Luiz of Lansing, with an apparent gun shot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Police are still investigating the shooting and have not named a suspect at this time.
