LANSING, Mich. — Over 30 neighborhoods across the city will be celebrating "National Night Out" Tuesday evening, following an announcement from Mayor Andy Schor, the Lansing Police Department and the Lansing File Department.
"National Night Out" is a popular crime prevention program that focuses on building partnerships between first responders and the community.
“National Night Out is all about community building and strengthening relationships between our first responders and our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Andy Schor. “The Lansing Police Department and Fire Department value community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.”
Check with your neighborhood watch coordinator to see if there is a party in your area.
The "National Night Out" celebration will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
