Tons of excitement in Lansing Brewing Company as people packed into the brewery for Andy Schor's election night party.

Cheers erupted from the crowd when they realized the race was called and Schor took to the stage to thank the people there, the ones who helped him to that point.

"It feels great, I'm excited," Schor said afterwards. "I'm excited to be part of this city. I'm excited to be the mayor elect of this city. I'm excited for everything we're going to be able to do."

Meanwhile, Judi Brown Clarke held an election party as well, and told FOX 47 News how proud she was of her campaign:

"My thinking, in retrospect, you kind of look back and inventory, did you do the best you could with what you had?" she asks herself. "Absolutely. It was grassroots, we had an uphill battle with dollars and foot soldiers, but I think, you know, we made it very formidable and I'm very proud of all our efforts."

Schor said the job starts on Wednesday for him as he gears up to take the position in January.
