The Lansing man whose animals were seized from his property got some of them back on Friday.
Clarence Walker brought home his five dogs from the Ingham County Animal Shelter, but he won't be getting back more than 80 chickens, ducks and turkeys.
Walker says he forfeited the birds as part of a deal to get his dogs back.
He's accusing the county of violating his rights and unlawfully searching his home.
"This is something that's going in all across America, the counties are going in a taking people's animals and food with no regard," Walker said.
Lansing police also took marijuana plants during the seizure.
Walker and his attorney say the plants were legal.
No charges have been filed yet.
