LANSING, Mich. — A Lansing man was charged with home invasion in East Lansing on Monday.

Gabriel Domegs, 51, is accused of breaking and entering three East Lansing homes on Grove Street and stealing items.

Domegs was charged with one count of home invasion, first degree, and is being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.

Police got a call on Sunday of a home invasion in progress. The subject left the home before officers arrived.

They got a description of the man and were able to find him about two blocks away. He had stolen items with him, including watches, necklaces, chains and bracelets, according to police.

The suspect was unarmed and no one was injured during the thefts.
