A Lansing man is facing several charges after police say he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated with four young children in the car.
Police in East Lansing pulled Cedric Darvell Jackson over for erratic driving shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers discovered four young children in the car--- an 8-year-old, a 4-year-old and two 2-year-olds. Police say two of the children were not properly restrained at the time of the stop.
Jackson was later arraigned on four counts of operating while intoxicated with an occupant less than 16 and one count operating while license is suspended, revoked, denied.
The mother of three of the children was also in the car. Police are seeking charges of child abuse against her. The Michigan Department of Human Services has been notified about the incident.
