A Lansing man has been charged in the death of another man.
47-year-old Ricky Thomas was arraigned on open murder, and resisting-obstructing arrest charges Monday. He is being held without bond.
On January 6th, 2017, the Lansing Police Department responded to a disturbance call in the 500 block of South Butler around 10p.m.
When officers arrived, they found 57-year-old Lorenza McKinney Jr. unconscious and evidence a fight had taken place.
Officers performed CPR on McKinney, who was transported to a local hospital by the Lansing Fire Department where he was pronounced dead.
Thomas was arrested at the scene.
He's scheduled to be in 54-A District court in front of Judge Cherry on Thursday, January 19th, 2017 at 1:30p.m.
