LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Ignite players and coaches also took some time out of their day to visit adult and pediatric rehab patients at Sparrow Hospital.
The new local soccer team spent the day talking soccer and handing out team gear to patients.
Coaches say it is all part of an effort to help spread joy and spend time with others.
"To just be a part of the community, whatever aspect that is, so before the season starts, any opportunity we can get to meet people of all different walks of life in the city." Said Ignite head coach Nate Miller. "That's what's really important to us because at the end of the day, we're just a small part of that but i think it's important for us to see everything and to be out there visiting people and knowing people."
Miller says the connection and partnership between Lansing Ignite and Sparrow is something he wants to see continue.
