Rejuvenating South Lansing will be hosting the Lansing Harmony Celebration tomorrow, September 8th, at Benjamin Davis Park in South Lansing. The Lansing Harmony Celebration has been designed as a multicultural festival meant to celebrate the region’s diversity through music, arts, and food. The event will run 12-9 p.m., is free to the public, and will be held rain or shine.

The festival’s main stage will serve as host to a diverse group of music and entertainment acts including, among others, Orchestra Ritmo, Taylor Taylor, Dave Sharp Worlds Quartet, the Glen Erin Pipe Band and the Habibi Dancers. The festival will also include a Kids’ Zone, complete with multicultural acts such as the Story Tellers and Hope Central Urban Art, various activities facilitated by Impression 5 Science Center, Potter Park Zoo, and Capital Area District Libraries’ South Lansing Library, and other interactive displays and activities for kids to engage in. Some of the area’s best food trucks and ethnic restaurants have signed on to participate and the festival will feature a very talented group of artists that specialize in a variety of art forms.
