A Spruce tree from Alpena will be cut down on Thursday and used for Lansing's holiday festivities.

The tree is over sixty feet tall and will be Michigan's 33rd official Christmas tree.

The tree is expected to arrive at the State Capitol on Saturday morning.

It will be lit up during the annual Silver Bells event in Lansing this November.
