LANSING, Mich. — Following the most recent recommendations from federal and state officials and health experts, LCC will transition to a fully online, remote environment beginning Wednesday, March 18. All LCC locations and buildings will be closed, and all face-to-face classes that cannot be taught online will be suspended.

“As COVID-19 continues to spread, we must resort to an online-only environment to protect our students, faculty, and staff,” LCC President Brent Knight said. “We must act now to help stop the spread of this virus and flatten the curve.”

While there are no known incidents of COVID-19 impacting the college, LCC is taking this action to prevent exposure on its campuses and throughout the communities we serve.

The date for campuses to reopen and employees to return to their regular working locations have not yet been determined and will depend upon federal and state recommendations.

This situation continues unfolding rapidly and the college asks everyone to follow the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) related to preventative actions including, hand washing and social distance recommendations.

Students and employees are asked to visit lcc.edu/coronavirus regularly for the most up-to-date information.

The college will make every effort to enable a successful transition to virtual learning and college operations, and to assist our students and employees during this very difficult time.
