After several fruitless hours of voting on Monday night, the Lansing City Council will once again try to elect a president and vice-president on Thursday night.
Monday night's first meeting of the year ended around midnight, with no nominee able to get the necessary five votes for either position.
Each of the eight council members was nominated at one point.
The council will have a Committee of the Whole meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a full council meeting at 6 p.m.
We'll let you know if they break the deadlock.
