Lansing City Council to consider Red Cedar Renaissance proposal

LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - A nearly $300 million dollar redevelopment plan in Lansing is breathing new life.

Developers for the Red Cedar Renassiance Project will present their proposal to the Lansing City Council on Monday.

The plan calls for housing, retail shops, restaurants, two hotels and a park at the old Red Cedar Golf Course on Michigan Avenue across from Frandor. The developer is asking the city for $10.7 million dollars to help finance the project.

The city council needs to approve the agreement.
