The Lansing city council confirmed the appointment of F. Joseph Abood as Interim City Attorney.

Mayor Virg Bernero chose Abood after Janene McIntyre resigned earlier this month.

He had been the deputy city attorney and ran the office while she was on a brief leave of absence earlier this year.

The city is paying McIntyre roughly $160,000 dollars as part of a separation agreement, but won't say why.
