For the fourth straight year, the Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph are sitting outside the capitol building.
Senator Rick Jones, of Grand Ledge, set up the Nativity scene Thursday morning.
Per capitol rules, Senator Jones will dismantle the display every night, and re-assemble it in the morning, through December 20th. Jones says he decided to set it up after the Satanic Temple launched it's own display in 2014.
The "Snaketivity" display will not be set up this year. In addition to the Nativity scene--- a Menorah was put up at the beginning of Hannakuh, and will be set up through the end of the Jewish holiday.
