LANSING, Mich. — The first case of the state's new Payroll Fraud Unit is against a Lansing business owner.
The Attorney General's office said Camron Gnass kept more than $52,000 he was supposed to be putting in his employees' retirement funds.
Gnass used to own "Vision Creative" and now owns "Traction Partners."
He's charged with 13 felonies and could get 20 years in prison if convicted.
A group of state lawmakers will be introducing bills to protect workers from payroll fraud Thursday morning.
