LANSING, Mich. — Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center announces growth for our staff team! We welcome new hire: Administrative Assistant Kyle Richard and congratulate Communications & Programs Assistant Hailey Lamb and Exhibitions and Gallery Assistant Zane Kemper on their new roles.
Our new Administrative Assistant role is generously supported by a capacity-building grant from Our Community Foundation, which is passionate about creating vibrant, thriving communities throughout Michigan’s capital region. The Foundation serves donors who have unique charitable goals and want to invest in the long-term success of their communities, supports area nonprofits with grants and personalized coaching, and leads innovative projects that drive community growth. The Community Foundation (also known as the Capital Region Community Foundation) is a tax-exempt public charity that serves the charitable needs and enhances the quality of life for people in Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.
Administrative Assistant Kyle Richard is a visual artist and former educator with a background in social studies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and Group Social Studies from Grand Valley State University. Kyle is passionate about the environment and is involved with the Citizen's Climate Lobby, an organization advocating for legislation to combat the future effects of climate change. Most recently, he founded Wayward, an interactive sci-fi visual arts experience that chronicles the story of a team of animal astronauts.
Hailey Lamb joined our team in 2017 and has assumed the new role of Communications & Programs Assistant. Hailey s a graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design with a BFA in Photography. Hailey has extensive retail and visual art experience, and is passionate about accessibility in the arts and beyond. She plans to someday continue her studies with a focus in Art Therapy to encourage healing and growth for all.
Exhibitions and Gallery Assistant Zane Kemper recently earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in Arts & Humanities with minors in Art History and Museum Studies. Zane also works as an exhibition producer at the MSU Broad Art Museum. A former Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center intern and previous communication coordinator for our public art exhibitions, Zane is excited continue his professional career in this new position.
