Lansing and Lansing Township are under a State of Emergency due to imminent flooding in various neighborhoods.
The declaration was made by Mayor Andy Schor and Lansing Township Supervisor Diontrae Hayes Wednesday night.
City officials have recommended that everyone who lives in the possible flood areas temporarily leave their home by Thursday. They say while the rain has stopped, river water levels will continue to rise.
