LANSING, Mich. — Drivers are being asked to seek alternate routes instead of using Grand River Avenue in East Lansing starting Monday.
Fairmount Street in Davenport closes Wednesday, October 2nd. Motorists are advised that the center and right lanes of westbound W. Grand River Avenue are now scheduled to be closed on Monday, Nov. 18 to accommodate the underground utility work.
The work was scheduled to happen last week but had to be delayed due to the weather.
During this time, the pedestrian covered walkway adjacent to the Park District redevelopment project will also be closed and a pedestrian detour will be in place. Delays are expected and alternate routes are advised.
The Michigan Department of Transportation expects the project to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.
