LANSING, Mich. — If you are planning to drive through downtown Lansing Wednesday morning, expect a shift in your traffic.
Some roads will be down to one lane to make room for Wednesday morning's ceremony remembering 9/11.
Starting at about 7:30 a.m. lanes will be shut down on westbound Michigan Avenue between Museum Drive and Grand Avenue, and the eastern most northbound lane on Grand Avenue between Allegan Street and Ottawa Street.
Travel lanes will be maintained adjacent to the memorial on Grand Avenue and drivers are asked to use caution in this area or seek alternate routes in order to minimize delays.
City of Lansing and surrounding area fire, police, EMS, veterans and operating engineers will be holding at 9/11 Remembrance Memorial uniting with a procession starting at 8:30 a.m. on Michigan Avenue in front of the Lansing Center.
The procession will proceed west to Wentworth Park for the memorial.
