You might want to give yourself some extra time if you have to drive on US-127 in Lansing.
One lane of southbound US-127 is closed from Kalamazoo Street to Mile Marker 9 just past the I-496 interchange, according to a news release from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Crews will be cleaning up material from a diesel fuel leak that was the "result of a previous truck crash near the interchange," according to MDOT.
The work started on Monday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes and to expect backups, per MDOT.
The work is expected to be finished by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.
