We have been made aware from our sister station FOX 17 of some concerning comments made by the new offensive coordinator at Grand Valley State University.

During a recent interview with Lanthorn reporter Kellen Voss, who also happens to be a FOX 17 employee, Morris Berger said he would like to dine with Adolf Hitler.

The comment was made in response to a question of what three historical figures he’d like to eat with.

In the interview, Berger said:

"This is probably not going to get a good review, but I’m going to say Adolf Hitler. It was obviously very sad and he had bad motives, but the way he was able to lead was second-to-none. How he rallied a group and a following, I want to know how he did that. Bad intentions of course, but you can’t deny he wasn’t a great leader."

FOX 17 reached out to the athletic directors at GVSU about the interview Sunday, they told them no comment.
