The Michigan DNR confirmed pictures sent to by a viewer show a black bear just outside of Wright Township
A woman walked outside around 3 p.m. Thursday and was startled to find the furry visitor in the driveway - 10 yards away. She ran back into the house, grabbed her camera, and took the shots shown above.
The field is 1 mile south of Cranberry Lake, where the woman says she's been hearing of bear sightings for months but never expected to get a personal visit from the creature.
What clearly looks like a black bear running in a field near Kenowa Avenue and Roosevelt Street was confirmed by a representative at the Michigan DNR Friday afternoon.
