Lakeshore Restaurant Week begins Friday with more than 20 participating restaurants.
Restaurants will offer discounts and other promotions, in hopes of influencing more people to dine in Muskegon and other nearby areas.
This is the first year for the event, but organizers hope to make it an annual promotion.
