LANSING, Mich. — Holiday merriment abounded at LAFCU’s Breakfast with Santa family holiday party, especially for the lucky parents who were able to focus on the festivities and not the cost of a holiday event.

The Dec. 14 party was free and open to the public as a community service organized by the Michigan credit union. The event was held at LAFCU's headquarters/West Lansing Branch and attended by more than 150 children and parents.

"For many who work to make ends meet, the financial stress of the holidays can be overwhelming,” said Kelli Ellsworth Etchison, LAFCU chief marketing officer. "We offer this free, festive event so parents don’t have to worry about costs. It’s also fun for our staff to give back to the community in this way.”

LAFCU and Santa’s helpers – aka LAFCU employees – provided a free breakfast, holiday crafts, cookie decorating and the opportunity to have photos taken with Santa.
