LAFCU adopts lobby appointments to protect members and staff

LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU branch lobbies will be open by appointment-only beginning Monday, March 16, to help mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Access to all LAFCU services remains available via digital, drive-thru and phone options. (See list below.)

The credit union is also following recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including social distancing, no handshaking and encouraging everyone to regularly wash their hands for at least 20 seconds.

WHO: These actions will help protect LAFCU’s membership and staff, as well as the community at large.

WHERE: All LAFCU branches, which are located in the counties of Ingham, Clinton, Eaton and Shiawassee. See www.LAFCU.com/contact/location-hours [link.zixcentral.com].

WHEN: Beginning Monday, March 16, until otherwise announced.

HOW: To make an appointment at a LAFCU branch during regular business hours, 9 a.m.- 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; 9 a.m.-12 p.m.:

EASY ALTERNATIVE TO IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS:
LAFCU has multiple ITMs (Interactive Teller Machines) in its drive-thru lanes at all branches. They visually connect members with a representative located at LAFCU headquarters who can assist with deposits, withdrawals and check cashing. ITMs personalize remote banking by blending technology and human interaction.

LAFCU REMAINS OPEN and will continue to serve members’ financial needs through:

Mobile and Online Banking
Accounts accessible 24/7 to check balances, transfer funds and find an ATM.

Audio Banking
Accounts accessible 24/7 by calling 800-968-8145.

ATMs
For cash needs, ATMs are available at LAFCU branch drive-thru lanes and through the credit union’s extensive network of fee-free ATMs.

Drive-Thru Teller
Financial transactions – deposits, withdrawals and check cashing – are handled by connecting with a member service representative at LAFCU’s drive-thru locations.

Remote Deposit
Check deposit using a mobile phone via the Mobile Banking app.

Apply for a Loan Online
Applications for a variety of loans available 24/7 on LAFCU’s website.

Card Control
Instant transaction alerts and control when and where a LAFCU debit card is used.
