Officers responded to a report of a home invasion resulting in a shooting on Alamo Ave. around 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
The resident woke up to find an intruder in their home, who ended up shooting the resident before getting away.
The victim was found with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to Kalamazoo Public Safety.
They have not yet found the suspect.
