Separate Tax Limitation Proposal: Establishes the maximum operating tax levy for Clinton County, its townships and its intermediate school district. The limitation would last for four years. The maximum millage Clinton County could levy during that time period would be 5.8, while the maximum for townships would be one and for the intermediate school district 0.2. One “mill” equals one dollar per $1,000 of taxable dollars.

East Lansing City Proposal: See Ingham County.

Bath Township Police and Fire Millage Renewal: Renews the current millage of $2.97 per $1,000 and increases it slightly to $3. The renewal would last for two more years. The money would go toward “operating, equipping and purchasing police and fire protection services” for the Bath Township police and fire departments. It would raise about $1.2 million this year.

Bengal Township Roads and Bridges Renewal: Renews, for four years, a previously authorized millage for the “maintenance and improvement of roads and construction of bridges within the township.” The tax would be about $3.24 on each $1,000 of taxable income. The township estimates it will raise about $162,000 this year.

Bingham Township Fire and Emergency Services Equipment Renewal: Renews, for four years, a previously authorized millage of $0.60 per $1,000 to cover costs of fire protection and emergency services and equipment. It would raise $60,000 this year.

DeWitt Township Police and Fire Millage: Renews a previous millage of just under $1 per $1,000 of taxable property value and adds $0.25. The renewal would last for eight years. Funds would go toward the township fire department’s “acquisition, repair, replacement, maintenance and housing” of its equipment. It would raise more than $608,000 in its first year.

Essex Township Roads and Bridges Millage: Renews, for four years, a millage of about $0.49 per $1,000 for “maintaining, rebuilding, repaving, repairing and improving rural township roads.” It will raise more than $27,000 in its first year.

Bengal Township Dust Control Millage: Renews, for four years, a millage of about $1.24 per $1,000 to “provide funds for the dust control of township roads.” It will raise more than $62,000 this year.

Lebanon Township Road Maintenance Millage Renewal: Renews, for four years, a $2 per $1,000 millage for road construction, maintenance and upkeep. It would raise $72,000 in its first year.
