HILLSDALE, Mich. — Join BIGGBY® COFFEE of Hillsdale, Michigan, Monday, April 29, for B Kind Day. B Kind Day will be held all day at 210 W. Carelton Rd BIGGBY® COFFEE with flower bouquets being offered to customers that order a Super beverage. Paired with that, customers can have a drink prepared by guest baristas State Rep. Eric Leutheuser of Hillsdale and Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey of Clarklake between 9 and 11 a.m.
As a way to do something nice for their community, store owners Brandy and Brett Boyd are looking forward to using this day as a time to bring the community together. In combination with the two supermarkets they own, they Boyd’s are using their vendor to donate 500 bouquets to customers. Customers will have the option to keep their bouquet, give it to a friend or family member, or donate it back to BIGGBY® COFFEE where BIGGBY® COFFEE baristas will donate the remaining bouquets to elderly individuals in Hillsdale Community Health Center, Drew’s Place, and Hillsdale Medical Care Facility.
Along with the flower bouquets, there will be paper and markers out for people to make cards. These cards will be given out to those individuals as they pass out bouquets.
“We just want to make sure all of the older population can feel the love from the community and know that we do think about them,” Brandy said. “Some people have family that come in and visit them and bring them stuff, but some people don’t…. We wanted to do that for them.”
Brandy and Brett are looking forward to having Senator Shirkey as well as State Rep. Leutheuser with them behind the counter for a few hours. The couple, who have worked with the Senator in the past, thought this would be a fun way to really add a little flare to B Kind Day. Between 9 and 11 a.m. customers can come in and get a drink hand-crafted by the Senator and State Representative.
