Kindergarten students can meet teachers while having fun at Kidzapalooza

LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing School District is hosting a free fun-day carnival on Tuesday.

Games, bounce houses and other activities are taking place at Kidzapalooza in Lansing.

The goal of the day is student enrollment for incoming kindergartners.

"We make KIDZAPALOOZA a fun annual event for Kindergartners who are ready and excited to begin school," said superintendent Yvonne Caamal Canul.

"This is an exciting time of year for our incoming Kindergarten students and the Lansing School District. We want all our kids to dream big, and know the Lansing School District will get them there."

The event is happening from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for students and their families.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
In order to enroll a student in the Lansing School District, parents or guardians must bring the child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.

Along with on-site electronic enrollment, KIDZAPALOOZA will feature free immunizations, free food, giveaway gifts and opportunities to meet teachers, administrators and staff along with other students and their families.

Lansing School District Dr. Eva L. Evans Welcome Center, located at 2400 Pattengill Avenue in Lansing, Michigan 48910.
