Michigan native and rock star Kid Rock is using Twitter to hint at making a run for the United States Senate.
He tweeted a photo of a Kid Rock for Senate sign with a link to the website Kid Rock for Senate saying, "I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real… http://kidrockforsenate.com The answer is an absolute YES." and "Stay tuned, I will have a major announcement in the near future."
The tweet quickly got a lot of attention, getting thousands of retweets and favorites, and the term Kid Rock immediately began trending on Twitter.
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, hasn't made any official announcements of an intention to run for public office.
