A breezy perch for a Snowy Owl created a small problem for the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids this week.
The station's technician set out to investigate why the wind speed sensor at the Gerald R Ford International Airport stopped reporting on Wednesday.
He found it wasn't an issue with the sensor itself; instead it had become a perch for a Snowy Owl.
The NWS posted a photo of the owl on their Facebook page.
